Directions for Use & Care

Application & Smudging Instructions

• Lighting: Hold the tip of either stick at a 45-degree angle over a fireproof dish and ignite with a match or lighter. Allow it to burn for 10–30 seconds, then gently blow out the flame so it smoulders steadily.
• Cleansing Your Space: Slowly walk around your room or home, wafting the fragrant smoke into corners, doorways, and high-traffic areas.
• Extinguishing: Gently press the burning end into a heat-safe bowl, shell, or dish until the embers are completely extinguished. Never use water if you plan to relight the wood easily later.

Safety Information & Cautions

• Fire Safety: Always burn sticks within sight using a heat-resistant bowl or dish. Keep away from drafts, curtains, papers, and flammable materials.
• Ventilation: Always open a window or door while smudging to allow smoke and air to circulate properly.
• Respiratory & Pet Caution: Avoid direct inhalation of smoke. Use with caution around individuals with asthma or respiratory sensitivities, and keep pets out of immediate smouldering areas.
• Storage: Keep out of reach of children and pets. Ensure the stick is completely cold before storing.
