Organic Times quality organic carob powder is from trees that are a minimum of 50 years old. The powder is made from the sheet ropes. After the harvest they are dried, chopped, gently toasted at a temperature of about 60 degrees and pulverized. Organic Times carob powder tastes naturally sweet with an aromatic caramel flavor. May be used in baking or mixed with milk as a cocoa substitute. A source of calcium and potassium contains vitamins, can alkalize the body and is low-in-fat, gluten-free and caffeine-free. Available in 500 g pack.
